Non-contact closing edge protection
Light Curtain
Light curtains monitor the protective field in the plane of the door leaf without contact – also ideal for retrofitting older door systems that exceed the permissible force limits.
Application
The intelligent LIGI safety light grid can be used for closing edge protection directly in the plane of the door leaf. The individual light beams are gradually covered as the door closes and released again as it opens. The light grid recognises this as normal door movement, which does not cause an interruption. The entire protective field is monitored without contact up to a height of 2,500 mm.
When the LIGI is used, there is no need to mount a safety edge on the door leaf, nor, where applicable, a connection box and spiral cable. The LIGI meets the normative requirements for doors and gates.
Robust for everyday door operation
Like all Witt Sensoric products, the light grids are designed for the harsh operating conditions on industrial doors: compact, fully encapsulated aluminium housing, protected against moisture and vibration.
