Witt Sensoric GmbH is committed to protecting the environment and aims to live up to its social responsibility for protecting the environment and human health.
Witt Sensoric aims to make its products and production processes environmentally friendly in order to conserve natural resources.
Our environmental management includes:
- we take responsibility for the environmental compatibility of the products we manufacture seriously,
- energy efficiency and the careful use of scarce resources are built into our production processes,
- waste generation and emissions are to be avoided, and
- unavoidable waste is to be recycled.
Environmental compatibility
Our products are manufactured in such a way that as little waste and as few emissions as possible are produced.
Production
The key environmental aspects of a production process are the consumption of energy and water and the emission of greenhouse gases, which we monitor for all our production processes.
Although Witt Sensoric is not one of the energy-intensive industries, we attach great importance to improving efficiency in our use of energy. By using energy sparingly in production, we can contribute to climate protection.
Our goal is to continuously improve energy efficiency and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in particular CO2 emissions. Our connection to the local district heating network is already making a contribution.
Water consumption
Water scarcity is a major problem in many parts of the world. Our production processes do not require any water, so no waste water is produced.
Waste management
Wherever possible, we agree reusable packaging with our major customers for transporting our goods, or reuse the cardboard packaging from goods delivered to us.
By avoiding waste in this way, we conserve natural resources. Where this is not technically possible, our waste is collected separately by material and handed over to suitable recycling companies for processing or reuse. If such recovery is not possible either, it is disposed of in an environmentally sound manner by selected specialist waste management companies.
In 2020, too, we were able to contribute to environmental protection by recycling various types of material. A total of 39,276 kilograms of resources and 5,098 kilograms of greenhouse gases were saved, for which we received the Certificate resources SAVED certificate:
